B2B · EMOTIONAL REGULATION
Act with intention, even under pressure.
Challenging conversations, conflicts, responsibility, decisions or changes can trigger strong emotional and physical responses. These reactions are part of our experience and can influence how we perceive, communicate and act.
Together, we explore what happens in these situations, which factors matter and how you might respond with more awareness.
Professional consulting for leaders and employees, not psychotherapy.
WORK SITUATIONS
When situations are emotionally demanding.
Emotional reactions do not arise independently of the situation. Our role, expectations, relationships, responsibilities and organizational conditions can all influence how we experience and respond to a situation.
Challenging Conversations
When tension, uncertainty, or strong reactions affect how a conversation is conducted.
Conflicts
When different interests, expectations or relationship patterns trigger strong reactions.
Decisions
When uncertainty, responsibility or possible consequences make a decision emotionally difficult.
Leadership & Responsibility
When your role, others’ expectations, or responsibility for employees creates additional pressure.
Change
When new roles, structures, or uncertainty bring up emotional responses.
Boundaries & Positioning
When it is hard to assess expectations, communicate boundaries, or state your position clearly.
EMOTIONAL REGULATION
Notice, understand, and broaden your options.
Emotional regulation does not mean having to turn off feelings or remain calm at all times. Emotions and physical reactions can provide important clues as to how we experience a situation and what it means to us.
In consulting, we first consider what you notice in a specific work situation: thoughts, emotions, physical reactions and spontaneous action impulses.
We can then jointly examine which experiences, expectations, relationships or organizational conditions are related to this and which possibilities arise for a more conscious approach to the situation.
The goal is not a certain “right” reaction, but more choices in one’s own actions.
PERCEPTION
The body also reacts.
Emotional activation can also show itself physically – for example through changed breathing, muscle tension, heart palpitations or internal restlessness. Such reactions can be additional information about how a professional situation is experienced.
In counseling, these perceptions can be considered together with thoughts, emotions and the respective context. This is about understanding your experience more fully, rather than making a medical assessment.
APPROACH
From reaction to more choice.
Noticing The Situation
What happens in the specific professional situation? Which thoughts, emotions, physical reactions and impulses become perceptible?
Understanding Connections
Which roles, expectations, experiences, relationships or organizational conditions influence the situation?
Recognizing Patterns & Resources
What is repeated? When does another approach succeed? What skills, experiences, or relationships can be helpful?
Expanding Options For Action
What reactions or next steps could be appropriate in this situation? What can be observed or tested in everyday professional life?
These perspectives do not form a fixed sequence. Depending on the situation, different aspects can be more important and re-examined in the course.
CONTEXT
Reactions do not occur in a vacuum.
How we experience professional situations depends not only on personal reaction patterns. Role, responsibility, relationships, expectations, cooperation and organizational conditions can also influence this.
Therefore, the focus is not exclusively on the individual person. Together we also consider which conditions of the concrete situation are relevant and where there is actually room for action.
FORMAT
The focus is on the specific professional situation.
PRIMARY
Leaders
For the reflection of emotionally demanding leadership, decision-making, conflict or conversation situations.
Employees
For specific professional situations in which emotional reactions, communication, boundaries or possibilities for action play an important role.
ADDITIONAL
TEAM AND ORGANIZATION CONTEXT
If it turns out that the question is essentially connected to cooperation, roles, interfaces or organizational conditions, it can be checked whether another B2B format is more suitable.
The format, objectives and organizational framework are clarified together before the start.
CONTRACT & CONFIDENTIALITY
Clarity about goal and framework.
An individual session may be commissioned by the participant or an organization. The brief can also be clarified jointly with a manager, the organization and the participant.
Before the start, it is clarified which professional question is the focus, which goals are agreed and which organizational framework applies.
If an organization commissions an individual session, we agree in advance what remains confidential and whether any information will be shared back.
BACKGROUND
Professional reality and knowledge of human experience.
More than 20 years of work in international business and organizational contexts shape my view of professional situations. As an international business analyst and country coordinator for processes in eight countries, I know different roles, expectations, interfaces and forms of cooperation from organizational practice.
My knowledge of psychotherapy science and systemic psychotherapy complements this experience with a perspective on human experience, relationships, communication, emotions and recurring patterns.
In B2B consulting, I combine these perspectives in order to consider professional situations in a differentiated way. Counseling remains clearly separated from psychotherapy.
B2B & PSYCHOTHERAPY
Professional counseling and psychotherapy are different contexts.
This offer is aimed at concrete emotional and interpersonal issues in a professional context. It is not psychotherapy and does not replace psychotherapeutic or medical treatment.
If a concern emerges as a psychotherapeutic topic, a separate framework is needed.
